Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
It can feel like there is so much to worry about in the foster care system. And, it is true that there is so much that is out of our control as foster parents. When I don’t feel in control of a situation, I tend to worry and fret and engage in every possible worst case scenario in my head. Basically, I drive myself crazy with worry when what I should be doing is taking the situation to the God that is bigger than all my fears, bigger than the foster care system and the One who is in control of the outcome for each and every child that comes through our doors.
