Planning and the Proverbs 31 woman

Planning is an important part of having an intentional life. Don’t just “let life happen”. Instead, create life by being proactive about taking a little time to plan.

Proverbs 21:5 “The plans of the diligent lead to pro!t as surely
as haste leads to poverty. ”

Paul had plans but God spoke to him and changed them… a few times. This
happens from time to time and when it does, we have our initial plan to fall
back on and get us back on track. It also works the same way when we fail
and need to pick up where we left o(. I have a household planner that I use
for this purpose and it serves me well.

Planning is a good thing when used properly. It can help you to keep yourself
in check and most importantly, help you to develop a routine. Calendars
are the most efficient planning tool one could have, but you must
actually use them.
Planning also helps you sleep at night. When you have a place to write
down all of the things you are afraid you will forget to do, then you can go
to bed peacefully because you aren’t going through tomorrow’s tasks over and over in your mind.

A little planning goes a long way. But failing to plan is a sure way to living by default rather than by design.

If you’ve ever wanted to tear the 31st chapter of Proverbs out of your bible this book is for you. She is a wife, mom, business owner, seamstress, she serves the needy, speaks life and wisdom, and seems to be quite the major overachiever, perfectionist type. Except that…she’s not. Come along and journey with Amy and take a look at the real woman of Proverbs 31. She isn’t as perfect as she seems. In fact, I think she is a lot like you and me.
