Praying for our sons

As a mama to three teen boys, parenting sons is a topic dear to my heart.  My sweet friend, Brooke,  {co-owner of The M.O.B Society and author of Warrior Prayers} has a passion for raising sons as well.  Specifically, her heart is for helping mom’s recognize that we can’t parent our boys on our own.  We need the Father to help us, guide us and lead us as mama’s and the best way to accomplish that is through prayer.

A few months ago, Brooke wrote an e-book that I devoured.  Praying Scripture over my boys has completely changed the way I relate to them on so many levels.  So, when Brooke asked me to contribute some thoughts on raising older boys for her {just-released-today} Leader’s Guide to accompany the e-book, Warrior Prayers, I was honored and humbled.

I am excited for the #21daysforsons challenge that is taking place online.  The challenge begins on June 8th and there are a myriad of groups to select from so that you are walking through the challenge with mom’s that are in your same situation, life stage, etc.  I plan to lead this study at my church in the fall.

You can learn more about the e-books here.  Visit the Facebook page here. And, go get to know Brooke here.

These are books that will change the way you parent your sons and will bring you to your knees before our Heavenly Father on a regular basis.  And, isn’t the posture of prayer the only true way to parent?

Be blessed!
