Food for thought and a favor

A Picture of a eBook

“It is not scientific doubt, not atheism, not pantheism, not agnosticism, that in our day and in this land is likely to quench the light of the gospel.  It is a proud, sensuous, luxurious, church-going, hollow-hearted prosperity”. ~Frederick D. Huntington*

This statement and many more like it are on my mind and heart lately.  I am in the process of writing my first e-book, entitled Counting Change.  I am writing about the way that radical living has changed our family’s view of finances and resources and combining that with a Bible study I wrote and taught at my local church {and online via a webinar} a few years ago called Faith, Family and Finances.

This is where the favor comes in…I need a tag line for the book.  One that will communicate with potential readers what the book is about.  For example, one of my ideas was “Spending, stretching and saving our dollars for good”.  But, I don’t love it.

Can you help a girl out? Any and all suggestions are appreciated!  Just leave your idea in the comments.  If I choose yours, I will give you a free copy of the ebook {it will retail for $3.99} when it debuts at the end of August.

Thanks in advance!!!

Probably not much help here, but I kinda like your tag line…:)
Or what about tying in the title to your webinar (since the topic is the same!
Sounds like your teaching that we must “stretch our faith” in order to “save our families” from “spending all of our finances for good”
    😉

  2. Hi, Melissa. Good luck on your ebook! The only tag line I can think of right now (the coffee hasn’t quite kicked in) is “Because even pennies matter.”

I will think on this today and come back with anything half way decent for you to ponder on.

On another note, do you have any information on getting published as an e-writer? I’m assuming it’s more than just converting a file to PDF as even ebooks have an ISBN.

    • Thanks so much for helping, Ivy! I am in the middle of reading an ebook by
Sarah Mae about publishing and marketing an ebook. I will be writing a
review soon. It is not as difficult as it sounds!

      • I look forward to reading your review. With the advent of Nooks, Kindles and other e-readers, I’m wondering if e-books aren’t the way to go for someone wanting to publish a book? Self-publishing the traditional way is quite expensive.
