Family Time

For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. ~Psalm 33: 4-5

Four teenagers, a 9 month old, me, my hubby and our 6 lb. mini schnauzer are on vacation.  A fourteen hour car ride was survived by all {thank you, Jesus, for iPods!}

We have enjoyed time at the beach,

time with extended family,

time at theme parks,

time lounging at the pool,

and just relaxing in general.

But, my favorite time has been each night at dinner, when we open the Word together and each child reads from the Psalms.  Listening to their voices reading the Bread of Life makes my heart swell in ways I can’t explain.

And, the counting of gifts continues:

~  the belly laughter of my little nephew

~  praise and worship music

~  juicy grilled hamburgers

~  a husband that does laundry

~  palm trees

~  toll road workers that always have a smile

~  hugs from my teenage sons

~  Facebook reminding me of my friend’s birthdays {my mind is like a sieve, I tell you}

~  gelato

~  every minute with my brothers and dad

What are you thankful for?
