Remaining Relevant

The Lord has reminded me {through circumstances and great friends that hold me accountable} that I am gifted to teach and write.

Sometimes I let good things get in the way and to be honest and transparent, I have not written {nary a word} in my personal journal or for my manuscript in almost three months!!!!!!!!  Teri Lynne is going to get me =)

But God!

He knew months ago when I bought my ticket that I would be headed to a place of refreshing and renewal for my writer’s heart this very weekend.

He knew when I bought my ticket that I would be in this place of competing commitments and neglecting my gift.

He knew when I bought my ticket that my soul is thirsty for the water that writing provides.

And, so I am headed to Relevant.  At exactly the right time.  Isn’t God cool like that?

I am leaving my laptop behind *gasp* and taking pen to paper this weekend and waiting, asking, yearning to hear from Him.

Will I see you there?

I am so glad God is awesome like that! I am sure you will come back refreshed (well, spiritually anyway, I don’t think anybody sleeps!) and with a ton of ideas and a plan to move forward! I wish I was there, but it wasn’t my time!

  2. I’m really happy for you. Sometimes it’s nice to leave the laptop home and simply listen. I pray that this will be a mountaintop experience for you. And I also hope that you will share all you learned …

  3. What a wonderful thing to do……..going back to pen and paper. I find that my hand actually aches when I write with pen and paper I’m so out of practice. I type everything!

  4. Loved meeting you there 🙂

  5. It was such a blessing to me to meet you the very first night! Friends now?

  6. absolutely Gen!!
