Holiday Help to the Rescue

We are all probably feeling the stress (remind me not to ever move during the holidays again, mmm kay?) of the Christmas season, at least a little, right.  Please tell me I’m not the only one!

One site that has helped ease the tension this season is Hellmann’s Real Holiday Helpings.  Sponsored by Hellmann’s (obviously) this site has recipes (from Bobby Flay, no less), coupons, a game (that my youngest has been playing with me) and a chance to win free groceries for a year!

I have been navigating the site for the last couple of days and find it easy to use, full of useful information and best of all, it’s free!  I even became a fan of their facebook page because there are special giveaways and prizes for their fans.

Head over to the site today to get great recipes, enter to win the grocery giveaway and even watch videos of Bobby Flay!

In addition, I have a $25 American Express gift card to giveaway to one of my lucky readers!

All you have to do to enter the giveaway is visit the Hellmann’s site and tell me what recipe sounds good to you!  That’s all (I detest giveaways that are difficult to enter) you have to do!

If you desire additional entries (who couldn’t use $25 this time of year?) you can do the following things after you have made your qualifying entry as listed above:

  • tweet about this giveaway (and leave a comment that you did so)
  • become a fan of the Hellmann’s FB page (and leave a comment that you did so)
  • leave a comment telling me what you would use the extra $25 for

Good luck!

The winner will be chosen via random.org on December 12th.  **This giveaway is open to residents of the United States and Canada only**

Full disclosure: I participated in this review sponsored by Mom Select and Hellmann’s.  I was given a $25 gift card for my participation as well as a gift card for my readers.  The opinions expressed are solely mine.

    Good Morning!

I think I’d have to try the “Super Moist Chocolate Mayo Cake”. I’ve made cake with applesauce, sour cream and several other “off the wall” things, but never mayo so this should be interesting.

  6. Well I went all out on this because I love Hellman’s mayo and I really would love to win the gift card. I pick the Turkey and Pear Salad sandwich and man do I want one right now! I’m a Southern girl and love our southern delicacy of pears on a lettuce leaf with mayonnaise and shredded cheese- YUM! So this is a great recipe that includes all those goodies and turkey! Can’t wait to try it. OK, next, I posted on FB, became a fan of Hellman’s on FB and tweeted about your great givaway, your blog and the mayo site. I want to win the gift card so I can give it to my mother-in-law for Christmas. We just had a banking fiasco, and lost almost $1,000 in fees this week (don’t get me started) and that robbed us of our Christmas money. My father in law is very ill (it’s all on my FB, just so no one thinks I’m making it up to win) so I know this would be a helpful gift to give them. I’m trying to win or collect as many gift cards as I can to give as gifts this year! Thanks for the opportunity and the link to the recipe!

  7. Ohhh I just noticed the cool little reblog button, so I reblogged it on my blog too! :)

Parmesan Chive Potatoe Bake looks good to me! Any extra money I make throughout the year goes toward the purchase of toys, school supplies and other useful items I put in shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. If you’ve never heard of it check it out at samaritanspurse.org. It was started by Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham when I was just a teenager and I’ve done it every year since. They send the shoeboxes to war torn countries and places hit by diaster (tusnamis, earthquakes, etc) and give each child a Bible storybook in their own language and they have the opportunity to complete a 10 week study and when they finish they have an awards ceremony, given a certificate and an entire Bible in their language. Really awesome! Get involved, if you can’t give, please pray! Thanks!

Should I win the gift card I’ll be using it to purchase food items for needy families in my community for their Christmas Meal. This would help buy a lot of food for several families here.

Thanks so much for this contest!

  30. Adrian says:

I hear you. I moved once at Christmas time and it was actually a double move because I was moving my Mom into a mobile home (due to her health problems) and moving us into her house. It didn’t go on the schedule it was supposed to and it was really tough. I remember very tentatively asking my Mom if we could put up some of our Christmas decorations in “her” window and she was delighted to let me. So that year, we had some of hers and some of ours around the house.

If I were to win the gift card, I’d like to think I’d use it for gifts for my family, but honestly, I might use it to buy myself some cute shoes or something for them to give me!
