Monday Morning Reflections- Family Fun

Reflecting on a weekend full of fun and quality time with our boys fills me with gratitude.  I am so grateful that God chose me to be Jason, Jared and Matthew’s mama.  There have been days lately that I have been so irritated with them (they are all adolescents, you know) and God allowed our time together this weekend to remind me how special, unique and awesome they are.

On Saturday, we headed to Altoona, PA to an small amusement park that we have been visiting for years.  Jared and Matt had fun doing all types of things and Mike and I had fun watching them.

The first thing they wanted to ride (and the last thing they rode on the way out) was this crazy contraption called the Round-Up.

They rode the oldest roller coaster in the country (even though it could give you whiplash) and they rode it proudly several times for that simple fact!

Dad rested while the boys went down the water slide a bazillion times.

After a stop in the gift shop, we headed home.  Exhausted but content.

The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy. Psalm 126:3

Yesterday, we went to a beautiful state park with Jason.  We drove up to the scenic overlook and beheld the beauty the Lord created.  The fog made the view even more ethereal.

We had ice cream at a great local place, spent time together and enjoyed each moment.  God is so good!

God sets the lonely in families… Psalm 68:6

As I reflect on this weekend, I am thankful for my family, for all my boys and praise Him for the opportunity to be Mike’s wife and Jared, Matt and Jason’s mama.
