13th Birthday on it’s way

In twenty-four days I will be the mother of a thirteen year old. Since my bonus son didn’t live with us when he turned 13 this is a new experience for me. Twelve has really not been my favorite age for Jared so I am excited for him to start a new year, with high hopes that it will come complete with an attitude adjustment and cooperative spirit (I am told my hopes will be dashed, but I’m hanging on anyway).

Of course, the 13th birthday party has to be “sweet” (apparently current slang for cool?). I have been instructed that he wants to have an airsoft battle with his friends and to camp in the backyard. Being the perfectionist devoted mama that I am, I have been on the hunt for birthday party supplies that will fit in with the shoot em up/camping theme.

I found a great site that has every birthday theme imaginable. Some of the themes that would have been fun for Jared are the Little League party and the Tony Hawk theme (both things he is interested in). And, to my surprise, the Special Forces theme is perfect to go with the whole shoot em up/camping theme. Everything I need I ordered from one website- paper products, candy, balloons (for them to shoot with plastic pellets of course)- you name it, I can order it from the one stop birthday shop- Birthdayexpress.com.

Be sure to check out their site! Birthdayexpress.com is your one stop shop and complete source for kids’ birthday party supplies!
From princesses/dolls to cars and trucks to TV/movies, they’ve got all your birthday supply needs covered.

So, we will be having the shoot em up/camping party in a few weeks. Say a prayer for this mama- mmmkay?
