Sharing our emotional HI/LO for the week:

HI:
~the boys had great interim reports from school and Matt was asked to write an article for the school paper (oh, excuse me- an expository essay- my bad)
~the hubby (who worries about getting laid off in this economy) was approached by another company head who gave him his card and told Mike if he gets laid off by his current company to call him because he likes the way he works!
~physical therapy three times this week that relieves the pain in my back for a long time
~naps with my sweet chihuahua who always makes me smile
~LOTS of quality time with my mom since she and my little sister have moved in

LO:
~watching my little sister and mom in pain over the separation from her husband
~having to explain divorce and it’s ramifications to my kids
~LOTS of quality time with my mom since she and my little sister have moved in ;p

The theme for Thankful Thursday today is wisdom. This really hits home with me this week as I can see God’s hand in all the situations facing our family right now. If you ask of Him, He answers. And I, for one, am very thankful for that this week.

Father, I thank you for the strength and comfort that only comes from you! Continue to be with our family, little Abby’s family and all the others going through the trials and tribulations of this life. We thank you that you never let us go, your grip never loosens. In your Son’s name, Amen

We’re about to get a puppy…I’m glad you have a sweet dog too!

Sorry about having to explain divorce to your kids. My husband’s family knows the pain of divorce all too well.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Isn’t great to write the Hi/los down and see that those Hi’s outweigh the lo’s. In every situation, we can always find something to be thankful for. This is one concept I am trying so hard to teach my children. Looking on the hi’s in life…
