Thankful Thursday- Love

Join us at Grace Alone for more Thankful Thursday posts.

Today’s (very appropriate and timely) topic is love.

Beth Moore (one of my favorite Christian authors and speakers) was quoted as saying:

On the pleasant days of marriage, gaze across at your groom and conclude he is worth it. On the difficult days of marriage, gaze up at your Groom and conclude he’s worth it.

What a fabulous way to remember that everything we do should be motivated by love, not just for each other on this earth but for God. He is always worth it, no matter how unlovable the person in front of us (whether it be a spouse, relative, or the cranky cashier at the grocery store) “deserves” to be loved or not.

~I am so thankful for a God that loves me, even though I don’t deserve it.

~I am thankful for a hubby that loves me with all his heart, puts me first and puts up with me (no small feat, rest assured!)

~I am thankful for my sweet boys.

~I am thankful that even though it’s not cool, they still tell me they love me on a regular basis.

~I am thankful for those random moments when they will come up behind me and hug me, plop down in my lap or crawl in bed to watch a movie with me.

~I am thankful for a hubby that looks above their heads and smiles at me with that smile that says “I love parenting with you”.

~I am thankful for all my friends and family (both IRL and online) that show love to me on a daily basis by letting me know they care.

Love is kind. Love is the greatest commandment. Love is…..
