Have you heard?

About Care.com:

Care.com helps families across the country find trustworthy babysitters and nannies for their kids (including children with special needs). We also help moms connect to home care for seniors, pet care, tutors and teachers, and housekeepers — everything you need to care for your loved ones and home.

Find the best babysitter, nanny, or other caregiver by reviewing profiles of care providers in your area, running free background checks, and checking references. To ensure the quality of our caregivers, our team of working-at-home moms pre-screens all caregiver profiles before we allow them into the Care.com community.

Find babysitters, nannies, and other great caregivers near you by searching on Care.comtoday.

As a Twittermom, I can offer my readers 15% off a Care.com subscription with Promo Code: TWMOMS.

When I saw this service I had to blog about it. As a mom who has struggled to find quality child care, been nervous when dropping my precious doggies off at the kennel and as a former senior care manager who struggled to find qualified people to care for my elderly clients, care.com is like a dream come true. They have qualified, prescreened candidate for all of the above situations waiting to help you with your caregiving situation. Why didn’t I think of that? 😛

I haven’t heard about it, probably because I don’t look for babysitters, my in-laws usually watch our daughter 🙂

  2. He And Me + 3 says:

I struggle with this big time, I have been spoiled because my parents usually watch them. I will have to check it out. For when my parents are out of town and can’t watch the kids.

I hadn’t heard of that! I wonder if they have adult sitters, too, for the elderly. Hmmmm……heading over to check them out!

  4. I had never heard of it either until Twitter today.. awesome service it sounds like!

Laurie Ann: they do offer adult sitters which I think is a fabulous and much needed service!

Melissa, I just wanted to let you know that JC’s story is up! Take a peak at it and let me know if there’s anything you want me to add, edit or delete.

Also, you mentioned in your story that you would like a support group. Please give me any ideas of how I can make the kidz blog more of a way to support and connect moms. I’m thinking of having people sign a role of some sort if they want other moms to connect with them…. I dunno, what do you think?
